Kay Ann Donaldson McGlone, 60, Patoka, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at the New Willow Manor Nursing Center with her family at her bedside.

She was born Aug. 11, 1952, in Vincennes, the daughter of Charles F. and Mary W. (Carnahan) Donaldson. She was a 1970 graduate of North Knox High School and she formerly served as assistant postmaster at the Patoka post office. She was a member of First Christian Church and she was an avid bingo player. She enjoyed helping everybody to enjoy what life gave him or her.

She is survived by her sister, Susan Tincher of Bicknell; brothers, Charles M Donaldson of Edwardsport and William C. Donaldson and his wife, Brenda, of Homosassa, Fla.; two nieces, Misty Petro and Nicole Byers; four nephews, Randy Tincher and his wife, Gail, Steve Donaldson, Roy Donaldson and Mike Lepper; three great-nieces, Haley Petro, Riley Petro, Brooklyn Jordan; and three great nephews, Kyle Donaldson, Sean Dunn and Jordan Lepper. She has a close friend whom she considered as a sister, Jane Carroll, and her first husband, Mike McGlone, with whom she remained close.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her companion of 26 years, Wayne Sturgeon.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be conducted  at 4 p.m. at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel in Bicknell with Ron Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
