Dorothy "Lucy" Messer, 58, Vincennes, died at 9:05 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born March 4, 1952 in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Cecile and Dorothy(Nicholson) Moore. Dorothy was a unit clerk on the fifth floor at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of Asbury Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Valerie Robertson of Vincennes; a son, B.J. Robertson of Vincennes; grandchildren, Meghan Ann Robertson and Hunter Lane Small; brothers and their spouses, Joe and Pat Moore of Amarillo, Texas, Charlie and Kelli Moore of Vincennes, Benny and Jackie Moore of Tennyson, and Paul Moore of Ragsdale; a sister and her husband, Delia and Stephen Hawkins of Ragsdale. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, James Moore and Ronald Moore. A private committal service will be held at a later date in Asbury Chapel Cemetery.
